  1. Place a drizzle of olive oil in a pan. Heat the oil on high heat. Sear both sides of the chuck roast for 3-4 minutes (each side) on high heat.
  2. Place seared chuck roast in the crock pot and pour a can of A&W Root Beer over the roast. Cook on low for 7 hours.
  3. Shred the roast. Serve on buns with BBQ sauce.
