Ingredients
  • 4Tablespoons whole milk
  • 2extra large eggs
  • 3/4teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2teaspoon ground cinnamonmore or less to taste
  • 4tablespoons salted buttter
  • 4slices Texas toast
Instructions
  1. Prep your bread. You can cut the Texas Toast into two triangles or cook the slices whole.
  2. Heat an electric skillet or griddle to medium heat.
  3. In a large bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. Heat the butter in the electric skillet or griddle. Once the butter is melted, quickly dip the Texas Toast into the egg batter. Make sure both sides are covered. Be quick because you don’t want the Texas Toast to get soggy.
  5. Place the battered Texas Toast onto the skillet or griddle. Cook for several minutes on each side. If you like yours a little browner, give an additional minute or so for each side. We all like ours a little bit more brown.
  6. Place onto plates and serve with your favorite toppings.
Recipe Notes

If you enjoy cinnamon sugar, you can also mix a little bowl up and pour it out onto a plate.  Once your french toast is done, place it in the cinnamon sugar mixture.  The butter you cooked with will allow the cinnamon sugar to stick to the french toast.  Now you have Cinnamon Sugar French Toast!
