Easy Apple Crescent Dumplings

  1. Cut apples into 1/8 slices each for a total of 16 apples slices.
  2. Unroll crescent rolls from both cans. Wrap 1 Crescent roll around 1 slice of apple. Place in a greased 9×13 dish.
  3. Melt the butter and sugar. When melted, pour the sugar and butter mixture over the wrapped apples.
  4. Measure out 1 cup of Mountain Dew.
  5. Now pour the Mountain Dew over the wrapped apples. There will be quite a bit of liquid. As it bakes it will turn into a thick, gooey glaze!
  6. Top with cinnamon.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. The dumplings will be very hot once done baking. Let cool a little bit before serving.
  8. Enjoy! We like to serve them with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of caramel syrup over top!
