Easy Apple Crescent Dumplings
This apple dessert is warm and delicious!
Granny Smith apples
cut into 1/8 pieces each apple
*do not use margarine sticks*
We like Vietnamese cinnamon for baking
Cut apples into 1/8 slices each for a total of 16 apples slices.
Unroll crescent rolls from both cans. Wrap 1 Crescent roll around 1 slice of apple. Place in a greased 9×13 dish.
Melt the butter and sugar. When melted, pour the sugar and butter mixture over the wrapped apples.
Measure out 1 cup of Mountain Dew.
Now pour the Mountain Dew over the wrapped apples. There will be quite a bit of liquid. As it bakes it will turn into a thick, gooey glaze!
Top with cinnamon.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. The dumplings will be very hot once done baking. Let cool a little bit before serving.
Enjoy! We like to serve them with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of caramel syrup over top!
