Let me start by saying that this Oreo Brownie Trifle recipe is pure heaven! It is delicious, amazing, tasty, delectable, yummy and so many other words that give this same meaning and impression! You get the point.
I will also be honest and say it isn’t the quickest recipe we have ever made. This one is a little time consuming…but worth every single second you put into it. I promise you will think so too!
We Like To Be Prepared
One thing that Sydney and I always do when trying a new recipe is to read it completely through a couple of times. It is important to know if we need to purchase special ingredients or set out some of the ingredients ahead of baking to allow them to soften. We also add the ingredients, that we need to have to make it, to our grocery list right then and there. If we don’t something will get forgotten. When a recipe has many different steps we like to break them into different groupings. This makes it so much easier to keep from missing a step. Doing a little prep work on the front end helps to keep us organized.

There are a few ingredients that this Oreo Brownie Trifle recipe calls for that you might not have on hand. Heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, Oreos, chocolate sauce and cream cheese might be a few ingredients that you may need to pick up at the grocery store.
The cream cheese is the only ingredient that needs to be room temperature for this recipe.
Don’t Forget Your Trifle!
Don’t forget to make sure you have a trifle. We have the Anchor Hocking Large Trifle Bowl. Trifles allow you to make a huge variety of recipes in them!
We have already done two of the front steps for you. All that is left is to read the recipe completely through a couple of times. If you have never done prep recipe work, you will be amazed at how much it will help you!

How gorgeous is this Oreo Brownie Trifle? We love it so much when food not only tastes delicious but also looks beautiful and elegant! It just makes the whole cooking and baking process feel complete when delicious and beautiful are joined together. This is probably the foodie in us talking, but we can’t help it! 🙂

Instructions
Brownies
- Grease a 9x13 inch pan with butter. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

- Add in the eggs and stir until well combined. Set aside.
- In another medium bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa.
- Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 23-27 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs sticking to it. You don't want to over bake the brownies.
- Set the pan on a cooling rack and allow the brownies to cool.
Oreo Filling
- Using a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and sugar and mix until smooth.
- Add in the milk and vanilla. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the powdered sugar and heavy whipping cream. Mix on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Next, fold 1/3 of the whipped cream into the mixing bowl containing the cream cheese mixture. Fold in until just combined.
- Fold in the remaining 2/3 whipped cream into the mixing bowl containing the cream cheese mixture. One again, fold in until just combined.
- Add the 1 1/2 cups of finely chopped Oreo crumbs and fold in until well combined. Set aside.
Additional Whipped Cream
- Using a large mixer bowl add the powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream and vanilla. Mix on high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Layering the Trifle
- Cut the cooled brownies into small pieces. Add half the brownie pieces into the bottom of the trifle dish.
- Place half of the Oreo cheesecake filling on top of the brownies and smooth into an even layer.
- Place 3/4 of the coarsely chopped Oreos evenly on top of the Oreo filling. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
- Spread a little more than half of the whipped cream on top of the Oreos and chocolate sauce.
- Layer the rest of the brownie pieces and then layer the rest of the Oreo cheesecake filling evenly on top of the whipped cream.
- Lastly, add some piped swirls of whipped cream, the remaining coarsely chopped Oreos and another drizzle of chocolate sauce (if desired). Place a few whole Oreos into your whipped cream swirls.
- Place the Oreo Brownie Trifle in the refrigerator for several hours before serving. Cover the leftover trifle with plastic wrap and keep stored in the refrigerator. It will last 3-4 days.
