This is one of my husband Jim’s favorite recipes! The great thing for me is that it is super easy to make. Who doesn’t love having a few super quick and easy recipes on hand? 🙂
Recipe
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
2 cups white sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
pinch of salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
Directions:
Grease an 8 1/2 x 8 baking dish with butter (additional to what is called for in the recipe).
Melt the butter over medium heat. Once the butter is melted add sugar, cocoa, salt and milk. Stir until mixed. Turn the heat up to high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Let it boil for 1 minute while you continue stirring.
Turn the heat down to low and add the peanut butter and oats. Mix quickly so it doesn’t scorch. Pour into your greased glass baking dish.
Let sit for at least an hour to set up. It will be hard but so worth the wait! I promise.
This recipe has been in our family for years and years and is always a huge hit! We hope you enjoy it as much as we all do, especially Jim! 🙂
Have an awesome day!
Yum! Thanks for the recipe!
