I finally put together a Bucket List. I have always had a mental one in my head, but I had never put it down in writing before. This will make it much easier to actually accomplish the things on the list. As I go along and work on it, I will probably add as many new ones as ones I take off when I have completed them. 🙂
Become a Grandma – This is so my #1 thing I want to do, become a Grandma (and so out of my control!). 🙂 As much as I love being a mom, I think I might be even a little more excited for the day I become a Grandma! I don’t push them at all, but make no mistake, my children definitely know that I am ready when they are!
Remodel a camper – I think it would be so much fun to remodel a camper. I have seen some really neat ones on Pinterest. My ultimate camper redo would definitely have a king size bed in it. Jim and I sleep so much better in a king size bed and I am one of those people who loves my sleep time! There would also need to be a halfway large closet.
I love to cook, so I would want a nice kitchen in it. If possible, I would try and fit in a full size refrigerator and stove. The kitchen cabinets would be either white or french country.
The flooring would be hardwoods and the walls would be painted an off white. Jim and I both love a lot of light. We are not fans of a dark house.
A large, attached, screen porch would be a must so Bentley (our standard poodle) could enjoy some relaxing, outdoor time without us worrying about him wandering off.
Volunteer at an orphanage – I love children (just in case you missed this from the first thing listed on my bucket list!). Doesn’t matter where, local or another country. This is at the top of my list of things I would love to do.
Travel – by plane, boat, car or train. I want to go anywhere and everywhere. Italy is probably my #1 destination place! I would love to visit several small towns in each of the 50 states. Riding an air boat is something I would love to do. Visiting all of the national parks is something else I would love to do. Sleeping in a tree house would also be really cool. Taking a sleeper train for a couple of weeks and seeing the countryside would be really neat. This is something I have to do with someone besides Jim. Trains make him sick!
Cooking – I want to learn to make all types of artisian breads. Pasta from scratch is another thing I want to learn to make. I want to master dutch oven cooking outdoors as well.
Reading – I want to read all the books on the Rory Gillmore Challange list (more about this in an upcoming post). A book signing is something else I would love to go to.
Classes – A barista class is at the top of my list of classes I would love to take. A writing class and a yoga class would be fun also (at least I think so). Soap making is something else I would love to learn how to do.
DIY – Building an outdoor kitchen is something I would love to do (well, I guess this would actually fall on Jim. As would a lot of the camper remodel!). 🙂 I want the outdoor kitchen to have a large, brick pizza oven! Growing an herb garden is also on my to do list. Nothing would be better than always having fresh herbs on hand!
Misc. – I would love to go geo caching and I think it would be fun to send a message in a bottle.
As time goes on I am sure I will find plenty more things to add to my bucket list. I guess we will call this my Bucket List #1!
We would love to hear from you as to what you have on your bucket lists. Have a great day!
