Hi! This is Sydney (daughter)! I am following up on Mom’s previous post. We want you all to get to know us as a family, not just as a mom and daughter. Family means so much to us, so we really want to incorporate our entire family in our blog.
A little bit about me…I am 25 years old. While growing up, we moved A LOT! My total to date so far is 15 moves. With moving so often, changing schools was really tough. So Mason (my brother) and I were homeschooled for most of our school years. Cooking became a huge hobby of mine during that time. I am always doing something in the kitchen. On a side note, I absolutely HATE chocolate…so you won’t catch me making anything with chocolate in it too often! But Mom gladly picks up the slack in that area. 🙂
Shopping is also another big love of mine! Small town boutiques definitely are up on a pedestal for me. I have compiled a list over the years of absolute favorites, but I also love going to different small towns and experiencing new boutiques! They offer a cozy feeling when you go in and genuine hospitality when they help you. You aren’t rushed or feel like a nuisance. Another huge draw to small town boutiques is that you can buy something and not see it the day after you bought it somewhere else! Hooray! Unique items will keep me coming back time and time again.
Austin and I got married in June of 2016. After our wedding, we moved to Florida for his job. Seven months passed by and he got an opportunity to move back to Ohio. I was ecstatic, to say the least! We are enjoying being back home and are currently on the house looking journey. A very stressful, yet exciting experience! We don’t have any little ones yet, but they are definitely planned for the future.
Adoption is also a big discussion topic in our household! We have a heartfelt desire to adopt a baby with Down Syndrome in the future. While this may be a huge step that can comes with lots of scary detours, we feel we have been placed with this on our hearts for a reason.
Austin has a love of anything coffee! I have a lot of fun making new drinks for him and using different syrups. He doesn’t mind being my guinea pig when I experiment around with new recipes, even though some are duds! Keep a look out for future posts about different cafe recipes!
We hope you enjoyed meeting our families!
