Hi!! This is our first blog ever. We are so excited to start sharing our life ventures with you!! Sydney and I are a mother/daughter duo who love to experience new things together.
I am Stephanie (mom) and I am a Netflix junkie and a foodie, especially anything involving chocolate and coffee!! I honestly believe chocolate and coffee should be food groups, right?? Shopping for home decor and jewelry, trying new restaurants and recipes (I guess I truly am a foodie at heart), reading, crafting, traveling, hiking, and photography (I am getting back into this) are some of my very favorite things to do. I am also a huge fan of the Gilmore Girls, go Loreali and Rory!
One of the most important things to me, outside of God and family, is small towns!! I love living in a small town!! I have lived in bigger cities: Fort Wayne, In, Jacksonville, FL, and right outside of Chicago, IL. But for me, nothing compares to living in a small town!! Having neighbors that become your good friends is priceless! Having a community of people around you that you are there for if something happens and they are there for you is so amazing. Knowing the owners of the businesses you shop at and being able to help them achieve their dreams is a great feeling. Small town living is what inspired this blog and we will be posting a lot about living in a small town and small towns that we visit, along with other things we get into.
My husband Jim and I have been married for 32 years. Jim works in the healthcare industry but his true passion, and I think it borders on obsession :), is home renovations! As you will soon learn he lives and breathes redoing our house and other people’s homes.
We have two children, Sydney and Mason. I will let Syd introduce herself to you. Our son Mason is 23 and just graduated college this past December, yay!!!! He majored in communications. He is a sports fanatic (and I do mean a FANATIC!!) and the Cleveland Cavaliers is his favorite basketball team, followed by The Ohio State University football team. He was a cross country runner in high school and college, and ran his first full marathon last year. He loves to run!
Bentley, our standard poodle, rounds out our family. He is two years old and has the energy of a two year old! He divides his love and attention between us equally, but whomever has food available usually gets first dibs with him.
Sydney’s post will follow with her introduction. Looking forward to talking with you on a regular basis!!
