Sydney and I love discovering new places to eat when we are traveling. We love sharing with you all of the food we eat and places we go. During our recent trip to the Hocking Hills, OH area we found some great Hocking Hills dining options to get some great food.
Gypsy Joe’s Ice Cream & Donut Co | Lancaster, OH
Gypsy Joe’s Ice Cream & Donut Co is the neatest place! They combine two of our very favorites into some amazing desserts. They take ice cream and donuts and come up with the most perfect pairings you have ever seen or tasted. Oh my goodness!
Check out this Donut Ice Cream Sandwich! The base is a cinnamon roll donut, the middle is O-O-Oreo ice cream, the top is another cinnamon roll donut and finally the whole sandwich is rolled in crushed Oreos. The Donut Ice Cream Sandwich was the weekly special when we were here. Seriously, check this bad boy out! *Prepare to drool!*

We also had to try their famous Donut Sundae. The base was an apple fritter, topped with 3 scoops of ice cream (Black Raspberry Chip, Buckeye and Black & Tan), drizzled with chocolate syrup, and finally topped with chopped pecans, whipped cream and a cherry. It was unreal and so amazingly delicious!

You can choose your own combination of donuts and ice cream. Pick your favorites and start eating! You definitely need to add them to your Hocking Hills dining list!
Gypsy Joe’s opened their doors in 2002 and have two locations in Lancaster, OH. Their top three ice cream sellers are Play Dough, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Butter Pecan. Their top three donut sellers are their large Cinnamon Rolls, Vanilla Cream Filled and Apple Fritters.
It might be worth the trip to the Hocking Hills area just to experience one or both of these delicious goodies! Gypsy Joe’s is located at 2237 W Fair Ave, Lancaster, OH. They are most definitely worth a drive from just about anywhere.
Pearl’s Diner | Logan, OH
We discovered a great spot for breakfast. Pearl’s Diner at 12900 OH-664 Scenic B7, Logan, OH serves some delicious home cooking.
I had the pecan waffles, homefries, bacon and a biscuit. They slice the biscuit in half, butter it a bit, and then brown the insides of it. Wow! What an amazing biscuit. So good! Sydney had their original waffle, bacon and toast.

Pearl’s Diner has been in business for the past 8 years. Their best sellers are biscuits & gravy, omelettes and waffles. They serve breakfast all day. They are open from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Make note…they are closed on Mondays.
If pie is your thing, check out this delicious looking pie that they had just made. So worth coming here just for the pie alone!

Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ | Logan, OH
If you are into BBQ then you will most definitely want to dine at Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ. It is a huge place, so if you are traveling with family and friends there will be no problem seating all of you.
While you are deciding what to have to eat, they serve you a basket of corn muffins. These are so sweet and delicious! I could have made a meal out of them! The servings are large so Sydney and I decided to share a meal. We went with the Millstone Combo. We had Texas Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, mac & cheese and steak fries.

Millstone Southern Smoked BBQ is located at 12790 Grey St, Logan, OH. Check them out for your Hocking Hills dining!
Penny’s Pastries | Logan, OH
No trip would be complete for Sydney and I without finding a great donut shop. Well, find it we did! Penny’s Pastries hit it out of the ball park! The selection was awesome and every donut and pastry was baked to perfection!

Everything was absolutely delicious! The Split Cream and glazed donuts were my favorites and Sydney’s favorites were the sugar donut and apple fritter. Their best sellers for donuts are the Split Cream, Apple Fritter and Peanut Butter Cream Filled. They also have delicious cookies. Their best selling cookies are their iced sugar and chocolate chip.

You can find Penny’s Pastries at 81 E Main St, Logan, OH. The current owners have been operating the bakery for the past 20 years. The bakery has been opened, with different owners, for the past 104 years! That is almost unheard of. The other neat thing we learned is that all the owners have pretty much kept the recipes the same and just added additional items.
The Olde Dutch Restaurant | Logan, OH
If a buffet is more to your liking then you will want to make a stop at The Olde Dutch Restaurant. Fried chicken, roast beef, homemade noodles, mashed potatoes & gravy, veggies, rolls and salads make up some of the enormous offerings here. The food is delicious and plentiful!

The dessert bar is unreal! So many options to satisfy your sweet tooth. They also have eight varieties of hand-dipped ice cream to pair with your homemade pie!

The Olde Dutch Restaurant is located at 12791 OH-664, Logan, OH. The food and desserts just seem to go on and on! Hocking Hills dining would not be complete without this wonderful restaurant!
Treehouse Treats & Treasures | Logan, OH
Treehouse Treats & Treasures is a fun family ice cream shop. They are located at 12793 OH-664, Logan, OH. They have been open for the past 8 years.
Their best sellers are their Banana Split, the Shipwreck (vanilla ice cream, waffle cone pieces, hot fudge and caramel) and Superman ice cream. We decided that we couldn’t leave without trying a best seller so we ordered their Banana Split and also decided to give their orange sherbet in a waffle cone a try. We are pleased to announce that they were both excellent. Check out all the cherries on this Banana Split! So awesome!

This is a fun place to visit because along with getting some great ice cream you can also play a round of miniature golf or browse their children’s bookstore. It is just such a fun, family place to visit.
Todd’s Mountain View Restaurant | Lancaster, OH
We have one more foodie place to recommend to you. Let me tell you about the breakfast we had at Todd’s Mountain View Restaurant. It was beyond amazing and we are so glad that we stopped here! I had the Strawberry Stuffed French Toast and bacon. I cannot recommend this french toast enough! It was pure heaven. Check it out!

Sydney had their Belgian Waffles and bacon and went on and on about how delicious her meal was also! It was our last meal before leaving to head home from our Hocking Hills trip, but most definitely one of our favorites!

Even though it was breakfast time they wanted us to share their best seller with you guys. You will want to try this if you are ever there during lunch. May we introduce to you their ever popular Gyro. It is stuffed full of all kinds of goodness!

Todd’s Mountain View Restaurant is located at 540 W Fair Ave, Lancaster, OH. They are known for their Baklava, as well as their Gyros. So many choices, so little time to eat it all!
