One of our favorite things to have in this family for dinner is Grandma’s Sloppy Joes. They are not only delicious, but also a fun food. They are a little messy, as well, but that is just part of the fun.
This recipe is from Sydney’s Grandma Mary (her husband’s grandma). Mary was kind enough to share it with our family. It has become our go to sloppy joe recipe.

Grandma’s Sloppy Joes Travel Well
Grandma’s Sloppy Joes are great to take to a potluck or tailgate party. They are also perfect for a child’s birthday party or sleepover. The guys will love them when together watching the game.
We usually serve these with potato chips or french fries. Macaroni & cheese, coleslaw or cheesy potatoes would also go perfectly with Grandma’s Sloppy Joes.

The next time you are pressed for time or just want a more casual dinner, give this great recipe a try. These are great to make and put in the crock pot for 2-3 hours until you are ready to eat them. So you can make them and then take a nice relaxing bath. You can also put them in the crock pot and go and run some errands and then when you return, dinner is ready. This is a really great recipe that can work into your busy schedule! We can all use plenty of these types of recipes.

We are so glad that Mary shared her sloppy joe recipe with our family and now we can share it with you and your family.

Have a great day everyone and let us know what you think of this fun and delicious recipe.
Oh boy, we love sloppy joes. I have made a couple of different versions of homemade sloppy joes and all of them have been vastly superior to the store bought canned stuff. I am going to have to give this one a try, I’ve never seen a recipe include grape jelly before. I am intrigued as to how it will taste.
Let us know how it compares to your other recipes!
This sounds amazing! And of course I just bought manwitch yesterday! 🤔
We think the grape jelly would give it that little extra something. We have a meatball recipe with grape jelly in the sauce that’s been passed down. It’s really good. Makes us want these for dinner tonight!
We really think it defines the taste as a well-rounded whole. Love the taste added in with all of the others!
