Downtown Glendale
During our recent road trip to Cincinnati we stayed in historic Glendale, OH. What a beautiful village! It was so quaint and time truly seemed to stand still here. We were just 12 miles from downtown Cincinnati, but it seemed like we were in another world. It was so peaceful and relaxing in Glendale. Whether you walked around or drove, just looking at the stately homes was so enjoyable. You could almost picture all the Glendale grandmas coming out onto these big porches with a pitcher of lemonade and serving her guests as they relaxed on the porch swings. Seriously, I am not kidding! Not only could you picture it, but you could almost feel it! It almost made you want to live back in the good old days. If I was ever to give up living in my own small town, I could seriously consider living here!

Have I mentioned lately how much Sydney and I love these small towns? This one was no exception! We love staying in these little towns and discovering the hidden gems. The small downtown area was in pristine condition and there was even an old train station depot that looked like it could still be in operation today. The Glendale Square offers two restaurants along with a wine bar. This is all within walking distance of your room!
The Glendalia Boutique Hotel
Glendale, OH is home to The Glendalia Boutique Hotel & Culinary Studio. This is where Sydney and I stayed during our Cincinnati road trip. Small meets big is the perfect blend, as far as we are concerned. We stay in the little towns, find the neat things they have to offer, and then also explore the big cities. It is truly the perfect pairing for us!
We stayed in the McLaren room at The Glendalia Boutique Hotel. It was so spacious! It featured a large bedroom with a king size Temperpedic bed. There was a separate living room that was very nice for watching tv or working at the large desk. The master bathroom had a walk in shower and a heated towel bar. The nice surprise this room had was a kitchenette. The kitchenette would be especially nice if you were staying for more than a few days!
The Glendalia Boutique Hotel offers 6 apartment style suites. One of these is a two bedroom. Some of the other rooms had a more standard kitchen and in-suite washer and dryer. This would be perfect if you were staying for a week or more! Kind of like a home away from home feel.
Breakfast Time
For breakfast you are given a voucher to take across the street and around the corner to the Bluebird Bakery. You can choose from muffins, quiches, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt and many other baked goodies. More on this cute bakery in an upcoming article about where we ate at while we visited Cincinnati.
Culinary Studio
If all of this wasn’t enough to make you want to come and visit here, I have one more thing to add to pique your interest. For all of you out there who love to cook, The Glendalia Boutique Hotel offers a culinary studio. Sydney and I were in love! The studio has top of the line Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. A chef’s dream come true! They offer day and evening classes at the culinary studio. The studio is also available for private events. It would be so much fun to take a cooking class here with friends!
They even have a small boutique where they sell some amazing Italian food items! As you can imagine, Sydney and I were all over this!
The Glendalia Boutique Hotel & Culinary Studio is located at 11 Village Square, Glendale, OH 45246. If you are ever in the area this hotel and small village is a must see! We had a wonderful visit and can’t say enough about the hotel and the village it is in.
