You know that feeling you get when you step into somewhere new and you immediately get that “feel good” feeling? That is the exact feeling Sydney and I had when we stepped into The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast. The atmosphere was alive with a sense of peace and you instantly felt relaxed just standing in the beautiful space. Time truly seemed to just slow down as you took in the beauty of the surroundings. It was like coming home after having been gone a long time, but we had never been here before. All I can tell you is that it was a one-of-a-kind feeling!

Terri Parmenter and Loraine Wyatt are the owners of this wonderful bed & breakfast located at 109 S Walnut St, Troy, OH. Terri and Loraine were there to greet us when we arrived. Both of these ladies are truly beyond nice and they are so open and inviting! I believe a friendship was formed upon entering The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast. They are that welcoming!
This was another surprising welcome as we entered the hallway. So very nice of Terri and Loraine! The beautiful Christmas tree and this hallway/nook area was welcoming, as well.
A Hallmark Christmas
As I am sure you have all figured out by now, Sydney and I love everything about the Christmas season! We love to start celebrating as soon as Halloween is over (I know…please don’t hate us, we can’t help it!). The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast was ablaze in Christmas glory. It felt like we were in a beautiful winter wonderland!
The Christmas tree in the parlor was spectacular. Loraine shared with us that there were over 300 ornaments on this one tree alone! It truly was a sight to behold.
My personal favorite room in all of The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast was hands down the living room. I absolutely loved the furnishings, the decor and the airiness of this tastefully pulled together room! It looks like something off of HGTV. The room radiated peace and calmness! You could sit here for hours and just soak in the tranquility!
The architecture is stunning! From the beautiful staircase and pocket french doors to the window seats and hardwood floors, you just feel like you have stepped back in time.
Because we stayed here during the holiday season we were able to enjoy the gorgeous Christmas decor. Each individual room had a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations. We felt like we were in a Hallmark Christmas movie. It was so great!
We loved all of the bedrooms. They had a vintage charm look and feel to them. This particular bedroom was so light and airy from the vast amount of windows.
Terri said that the Purple Room was the most popular one with their guests. Even though it is a little smaller than the other two bedrooms, it had such a quaint and homey appeal.
Sydney and I stayed in the Red Room. It was so large and spacious! I cannot begin to explain to you how comfortable this bed was! Sleeping is one of my favorite things to do, so a comfortable bed is super important! So is cleanliness and The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast scored a 10 out of 10 in this department!
Breakfast is Served…
After an amazing night’s sleep, we woke up to a delicious breakfast that was served in the dining room. They use vintage china and it is so fitting with the rest of the decor.
Quiche, blueberry muffins, yogurt with fruit, juice, tea and coffee were served to us for breakfast. Everything was so delicious. You definitely will not leave The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast hungry!
Terri and Loraine purchased The Charlotte Bed and Breakfast in August of 2017 and they opened for business in April of 2018. You can hold wedding showers, baby showers, scrapbook gatherings and other special occasions here. This bed and breakfast is perfect for a girls getaway or a weekend away with your honey.
Sydney and I can’t recommend a stay at The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast enough! If you are ever in the Miami Valley area of Ohio this is a must stay location! We were able to check out some of the surrounding dining and shopping options while staying here. Definitely check our article out on where to shop and dine!
The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast offers gift certificates. A gift certificate to The Charlotte would be a wonderful gift for your parents for Christmas or maybe for your mother this upcoming Mother’s Day!
We hope you enjoyed this sneak peak in the beautiful world of The Charlotte Bed & Breakfast! If you ever book a stay here, tell Terri and Loraine that Sydney and Stephanie say “hi”!
