During our road trip to Columbus, OH Sydney and I stayed at the 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast. It is located on the edge of downtown Columbus in the Short North Arts District. We had a really enjoyable stay here and one of the really neat things was that we were just a couple of blocks away from some great restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, art galleries and fun entertainment. We could be to any of these places in just a couple of minutes by foot. You don’t have to worry about finding parking, just leave your car at the B&B and walk. So incredibly neat! Yet, when we were at the bed and breakfast we were in a very quiet residential setting. Seriously, two minutes makes such a big difference between calm & peaceful and hustle & bustle. 🙂
The outside of the 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast was so pretty. The brick house looked so stately and historic.

The back of the bed and breakfast was so peaceful and relaxing. The brick pavers added such a nice touch. The setting was beautiful and there was so much shade! If being completely outside isn’t your thing, they have a really nice screened porch that overlooks the back area.
Let’s step inside the 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast for a little tour. As you can see, the inside has a very Victorian flair. Very fitting with the outside of the house! We loved the 3 windows at the front of our huge room! The room was so light and airy. Did I mention huge? It had two beds and two different sitting areas, along with a large bathroom. Don’t you just want to crawl into this bed? 🙂
The dining room was also extremely fitting for the era of the house. Once again, all of the windows made it feel so light and airy. So very nice!
Breakfast was a nice display of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and juices that we served ourselves. While enjoying this our entree of French toast and sausage was prepared. Very delicious! A really nice touch they offer is that all food allergies can be accommodated! Just let them know of any special dietary needs you have.
If you were not in a hurry to get anywhere after breakfast, you could hang out for awhile in the parlor and relax. It truly made you fell as if you had stepped back in time to a much slower pace of life!
As with all bed & breakfasts they each have that little something extra they do that sets them apart from each other. At 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast you receive a complimentary glass of wine to enjoy. Sydney and I took ours out to the back patio area and relaxed. It was the perfect way to end the evening!
We want to say a huge thank you to Trelene Turner, the manager of 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast. She made our stay so enjoyable. During breakfast we got a chance to really speak with her. She is so knowledgeable about the area and shared so much information and stories with us. It was very nice and helpful. Not only does she run an amazing B&B, but she is also so nice and friendly!
Trelene shared that the B&B opened in 1986 and she has been managing it since 2006.
If you are ever in the Columbus area and need a place to stay, Sydney and I highly recommend the 50 Lincoln Short North Bed and Breakfast. It is located at, you guessed it, 50 E Lincoln St, Columbus, OH.
We hope you have a great day!
