I so love it when I think I know exactly how my day is going to turn out, it doesn’t go that way at all, and ends up even so much better! These types of days I call a blessing in disguise. That is precisely what happened the morning we found Purebred Coffee Co. and Pachamama Market.
Sydney and I had some blogging projects we were going to work on and decided to try a coffee house we had heard about in Piqua, OH. When we got there, the coffee house was closed. Of course, we didn’t notice this before we got out of the car and lugged all our stuff up to the door! So, back to the car we go and we Google “coffee houses near me.” As I am sure you have deducted by now, Purebred Coffee Co., in Troy, OH, came up. It only took us about 15 minutes to get there. When you live in a small town it takes a minimum of 15-20 minutes to get anywhere, so this was no big deal at all.
Were we in for a really nice surprise! Purebred Coffee Co., was so warm and inviting. We immediately felt right at home.
But, as warm and inviting as we found this particular coffee house to be, it was nothing compared to the hospitality we received from Noah and Jared! Noah and his wife Meggin are the owners of Purebred Coffee Co. and Jared is their amazing and super friendly barista! These two guys work so well together and compliment each other perfectly! Their coffee house is located at 110 E Main St, Troy, OH 45373.
After some much needed explanation between an espresso, a cappuccino, and a latte, from Jared, I ended up having a peppermint latte. It was so good and creamy!! The latte art was absolutely beautiful!! Just look at this beauty!!
Without a doubt, by now, I am sure you know exactly what Sydney got. Yes….that is right! She got the black tea.
Purebred Coffee Co. has been in business since the beginning of November (2017). You would never know it from the constant flow of traffic that went in and out of this place. I have a feeling they will be in business for quite a long time. Which is good, because we are looking forward to continuing to come here!
Between talking with the super friendly staff and enjoying our drinks, we did mange to get some work done. Also got some planning designing done also. It was a very productive morning!
If you are in the mood for a hot or cold beverage, look no further than Purebred Coffee Co.
It gets even more exciting after this (now remember, if our day had went as planned we wouldn’t even be here!).
One of the customers at the coffee house heard us talking with Noah and Jared. She came up to us and thanked us for featuring and supporting small businesses on our blog. She then invited us to come and visit her shop! After finishing our work and drinks at Purebred Coffee Co., we headed a couple of blocks over to Pachamama Market.
Pachamama Market is located at 116 South Market St, Troy, OH 45373.
Lindsay Woodruff is the owner of Pachamama Market. She explained to us that Pachamama Market is a Fair Trade store. Fair Trade is a trading system which focuses on alleviating global poverty.
Every item in Pachamama Market is hand made and eco friendly. Not only is this an amazing store, but it is helping to promote sustainability for disadvantaged producers.
The handmade notebooks and journals are so bright and colorful.
All the wooden figurines are hand carved. They are absolutely gorgeous!
The store carries handmade clothes, scarves, and shoes.
You will find beautiful jewelry and and hand woven baskets here.
I absolutely fell in love with the leather bags!! My very favorite bag was the backpack on the top shelf at the far right!!
For the foodie lovers there is a nice selection of chocolates, coffee and tea.
There is truly something for everyone in this unique store. I even managed to find a tea towel to add to my small but ever-growing collection!
I hope you have an opportunity to visit Patchamama Market. Not only will you find some beautiful items to purchase, but you will also be supporting Fair Trade. Two gifts in one!
Remember, sometimes the things you didn’t get end up being a blessing in disguise!
